I recently had a client lease a home on the beach in Santa Monica as a way to try living at the beach. You can spend hours on the sand or entertaining from a distance. Malibu has many different sub communities whether you want to be directly on the beach or within close distance. Try Broad Beach, Zuma Beach, La Costa Beach, Trancas Beach etc. Marina Del Rey has the canals of Venice ,shopping and dining along Abbott Kinney. Venice has Main Street and the Santa Monica Promenade. Manhattan beach has all the restaurants and shops close by and great schools. Playa Del Rey has become home to the tech industry and Hermosa Beach has rolling hills surrounding it.
